Development and Volunteer Assistant
Description: The Development and Volunteer Coordinator will help organize fundraising efforts for the organization and, secondarily, assist with some of the organization’s volunteer and communications programs.
Qualifications: High school diploma required. Some college preferred. Knowlede of communications and public relations practices helpful. Graphic design skills a plus. Self-motivated, in addition to, oral, written and organizational skills.

This position is an amazing opportunity to get some real world experience in the fields of public relations, event planning and development. We are interested in identifying individuals who possess a strong desire to gain serious experience in their field of study before graduating college and who will take advantage of this tremendous opportunity.
The Development Assistant will be responsible for assisting with all communications and public relations efforts of the agency, including but not limited to, writing and distributing press releases for online and print publications, designing original direct mail pieces and ads, and he/she will be integrated into the event planning process for all agency events during the internship period.
In addition, the individual will function as a volunteer coordinator. He/she will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing and placing volunteers. Additionally, he/she will assess volunteers and coordinate the program for the entire agency.
Web site maintenance is also required and we are willing to train.
