GOOD TIME TO CONTACT THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE, YOUR STATE SENATOR and REPRESENTATIVES! AIDS Care Ocean State lost $65,000 in funding that will prevent over 50,000 plus needles from being disposed of properly, due to state’s 2016-17 Rhode Island’s legislative grant process.

While providing outreach, ACOS Prevention team discusses the need of more resources, including the life-saving drug Naloxone to prevent drug overdoses with The Providence Journal. Narcan, is an injection or nasal spray that can resuscitate people who overdose on opiates.
