ACOS IS GIVING THANKS
December 1, 2014

THANK YOU!

There was a lot to be thankful for this November thanks to the Renaissance City Softball League, the Make-A-Difference Foundation and YOU! On behalf of the AIDS Care Ocean State Clients we'd like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make this Thanksgiving holiday one to remember and cherish. We were able to provide delicious turkeys and nutritious food for families in need thanks to your generosity.

Early in November, the Renaissance City SoftBall league hosted a canned food drive for ACOS. Their team was able to collect hundreds of canned food items, pastas, rice, sauces-  and a medley of other items to support our clients during Thanksgiving. The Renaissance City Softball League is a registered 501 © 3 non-profit organization dedicated to the growth and promotion of softball in the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered (GLBT) community in Rhode Island and surrounding areas. Over a year ago the RCSL teamed up with AIDS Care Ocean State to provide support for our programs and services- through volunteering, collecting donations and hosting fundraisers. We are so grateful for everything the RCSL has done for the agency and for the clients we serve. To learn more about the Renaissance City Softball League, click here

In addition, 75 turkeys were donated to the agency through the Make-A-Difference Foundation on November 23rd, 2014. Over 30 volunteers from the foundation, the majority of which were youth participants, arrived at the ACOS doorsteps to deliver the turkeys for our clients. Year after year the Make-A-Difference Foundation has continued to give and make the holiday that was brighter for our clients.
