On March 11, ACOS invites you to indulge your naughty side at Jocktion 2017, where Russell Sweeney, Mr. Leather New England 2017  will auction off “previously loved” jockstrapsthat have been donated by the contestants for the title of International Mr.Leather 39, with the proceeds being used to benefit ACOS programs.

Also on hand will be the current title-holders of Mr. Gay Rhode Island:  Joe DiMauro (Mr. Gay RI,) Neoki Feytal (Ms. Gay RI,) and Ally P. Sha (Ms. Lesbian RI) who will perform and entertain the crowd. The event will also feature raffles, promotions andsurprises throughout the night!

The event has proved wildly popular, with jockstraps being auctioned off for as much as $500. There will be plenty of eye-candy as this year’s IML contestants show the audience why they should be crowned International Mr. Leather 39. So whether you’re an athlete, an athletic supporter, want to add to your priceless jockstrap collection, or just enjoy looking at scantily-clad men, this event has your name all over it.

As in years past, the event will be hosted at the EagleProvidence, 124 Snow Street, Providence. The fun starts at 9:00 pm, and mightnot stop until the sun comes up. 

RENT Opening Night to Benefit AIDS Care Ocean State

AIDS Care Ocean State and Providence Performing Arts Center are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of RENT with a special OPENING Night event to Benefit AIDS Care Ocean State on Friday, April 7th 2017.

On Sunday, April 23, fight "HIV One Step at a Time" and walk with AIDS Care Ocean State (ACOS) at the 2017 AIDS Walk for Life, starting and ending on the Rhode Island State House lawn.  Registration opens at 10 a.m., the speaking program begins at noon, and the walk kicks off at 12:30.  Immediately after the walk, there will be a celebration.  Participants who join ACOS ’team will be assisting the largest HIV/AIDS agency in Rhode Island who is dedicated to providing quality housing, case management, medical and nursing care, and prevention to adults, families, adolescents and children who are affected by or at risk for HIV infection.

2017's King of Queen - May 7, 2017 at the Colosseum in Downtown Providence! Join us and cheer on members of our community who are transformed into beautifully stunning DRAG QUEENS for ONE night only by their amazing drag queen mothers. Who will be crowned 2017 King of Queens for Judges Choice and Fan Favorite? Join us and find out and support ACOS!

Each contestant has been matched with a Drag Mother to guide them in their look, character, performance and name. Our contestants will spend the upcoming weeks waxing, shaving, plucking, primping, learning to walk in heels and finding the perfect outfit and song to lip-sync while their Drag Mothers share their time, expertise and a whole ton of makeup. But, only ONE will be named the 2017 King of Queens!

Join us on May 7th at The Colosseum (180 Pine St. in downtown Providence.) Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm. Tickets sold at door for $20. King of Queens 2017 is produced and presented by Alysha Brock and its proceeds are donated to AIDS Care Ocean State to support HIV/AIDS programs and services in Rhode Island.

Remember to bring your tip money! The Fan Favorite is chosen based on tips and donations the contestant receives. Be sure to check out your favorite contestants online because many of them have already started collecting donations through gofundme.com!
